Florian Wirtz has a net worth of $35 million. He is a German professional footballer, widely regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in world football. Wirtz’s wealth comes from his professional contracts and major brand endorsements.
His financial standing is built on his status as a generational talent. After leading Bayer Leverkusen to a historic, undefeated Bundesliga title in the 2023–24 season, his value skyrocketed. This success triggered a massive transfer to the English Premier League, securing him a high-value contract that places him among the top earners in the sport. A significant portion of his income is also derived from a long-term partnership with the sportswear giant Adidas.
Liverpool Contract
In the summer of 2025, Florian Wirtz completed a transfer to Liverpool FC. The deal was a British record, with an initial fee of £100 million, potentially rising to over £116 million with performance-related add-ons. As part of the move, Wirtz signed a long-term contract that pays him a base salary of £200,000 per week, or £10.4 million annually. This figure does not include the substantial bonuses he earns for team success and individual performance metrics.

Florian Wirtz has a major, long-term endorsement deal with Adidas. As a premier German player and one of the faces of the brand, this partnership is a significant source of his off-field income. The deal was considered a key factor during his transfer negotiations, with Adidas having a vested interest in his placement at a globally recognized club.
Early Life
Florian Richard Wirtz was born in Pulheim, Germany. Football is deeply embedded in his family; his parents, Hans-Joachim and Karin, serve as his agents. His father is also the chairman of SV Grün-Weiß Brauweiler, the local club where Wirtz first began playing. His older sister, Juliane Wirtz, is also a professional footballer. He showed exceptional talent from a young age and joined the prestigious youth academy of 1. FC Köln in 2010.
Career
Florian Wirtz spent a decade developing at 1. FC Köln before making a controversial move to Bayer Leverkusen in January 2020. He was immediately fast-tracked, making his senior debut in May 2020. In doing so, he became Leverkusen’s youngest-ever Bundesliga player, surpassing Kai Havertz. Just weeks later, he scored against Bayern Munich, becoming the youngest goalscorer in Bundesliga history at that time.
Wirtz quickly established himself as an indispensable part of the team. His development was briefly halted by a severe ACL injury in March 2022, but he returned to the pitch with even greater form. His breakout campaign was the 2023–24 season, where he was the creative engine behind Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen team. Wirtz led the club to its first-ever Bundesliga title, finishing the league season undefeated, and also won the DFB-Pokal. His performances earned him the Bundesliga Player of the Season award.
On the international stage, Wirtz is a full member of the German national team. He represented his country at UEFA Euro 2024, scoring the tournament’s opening goal and becoming the youngest-ever European Championship goalscorer for Germany. Following his historic season with Leverkusen, he became the most sought-after player in the 2025 summer transfer window, ultimately signing with Liverpool.
